Notes on Natural Perfume

Things to know about all-natural perfumes:

As natural oils are not created in a lab, they will fade over time and may do so more quickly than synthetic perfumes. Each blend is a combination of top, middle and base notes, which have differing evaporation rates. This adds intrigue to the blend: what you experience at the beginning will not be the same as the ending. We encourage you to re-apply throughout the day, which also provides the joy and interest of the scent’s natural evolution.

Speaking of evolution. an oil’s scent profile may change depending on the environmental conditions of the crop. Expect to discover slight variations in the scent of your favorite blends due to the dynamism of nature.

As with the food you eat, essential oils may trigger allergic reactions. If you suffer from severe allergies and are concerned about any of the products, please reach out to us to discuss. Additionally, children, and those who are pregnant or breastfeeding should take extra care with essential oils. Please reach out to us with any questions.

While we encourage applying scents directly onto your skin — it is the best way to make the scent truly yours — some oils are photosensitive, meaning they may produce a skin irritation when exposed to sunlight. Please be mindful of the areas of your skin where you apply scents if you will be outdoors.

If you have sensitive skin in general, even without allergies, some oils may cause irritation. If you develop any redness or itchiness, please discontinue use and reach out to us.
